Legal Status
DENEYE, which is governed by the Board of Trustees, was duly registered as a legally operating Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Malawi in 2020 under the Trustees Incorporation Act of 1962. Runed by skillful youth, it is also registered under National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM) Act. Currently operating in the Machinga District, (Currently under way in application to NGO board and congoma).
Secretariat
DENEYE has a secretariat to carry out its programmes and activities. The secretariat consists of the Executive Director, Director of Operations, Finance and administrative Manager and Program Manager, Project officers and Assistant.
DENEYE, however, mostly (and primarily) relies on the volunteers who spend their precious time to contribute towards the implementation of the activities in various ways. The volunteers are involved in carrying out research, documentation of information at DENEYE, fundraising activities and Social Media communication.
In return, they gain experience and expertise, which they use when they finally get employment with other already long established organizations.
Board of Trustees
The affairs of DENEYE are managed by the Board of the registered trustees at least at policy level who exercise all such powers of DENEYE regarding the financial, management and general administrative matters and all other matters of fundamental importance.
The majority members of the Board of Trustees are drawn from various disciplines such as Agriculture, education, theology, Healthy, Gender, and Entrepreneurship
